The General Labourer role includes assisting Parts Technicians in the yard and/or shop as well as:

 

  • Housekeeping- cleaning, stocking and supplying designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning etc),

  • Notifying management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs,

  • Occasional help with bookkeeping.

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent

  • Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery

  • Integrity, reliability, and trustworthiness to be left to work independently

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Experience in a related field considered an asset

  • Record on each vehicle received the Assigned Stock Number,

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently under pressure with minimal supervision;

  • Attention to detail and a keen sense of identifying vehicle imperfections;

  • Ability to work effectively outdoors in variable weather conditions;

  • Physical fitness - ability to lift up to 50-75lbs;

  • Reliability, diligence, and punctuality 

Experience:

  • Inventory: 1 year (preferred)

  • Automotive parts: 1 year (preferred)

As an Automotive Dismantler, you will play a vital role in our operations by efficiently disassembling vehicles, identifying and extracting usable parts, and ensuring their proper categorization for reuse. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform efficient dismantling of vehicles, following established guidelines and safety procedures. 

  •  Identify and evaluate the condition of automotive parts to determine their suitability for reuse. 

  • Safely extract and remove components such as engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and other relevant parts. 

  • Properly organize and categorize salvaged parts for inventory management and efficient storage.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in automotive dismantling, salvage yards, mechanics or related fields is preferred. 

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of automotive systems and components.

  • Familiarity with tools and equipment used for dismantling vehicles.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to assess the condition and quality of salvaged parts. 

  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

  • Informing customers of unit prices, shipping date, and anticipated delays,

  • Assisting with loading delivery trucks,

  • Provide relevant information on warranties and quality of parts.

  • Must be able to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines,
